Ruby is at the super market in Florida on a bright Saturday morning, wearing this shirt because she always gets distracted when people talk to her when she is picking out food. Ruby used to love everyone but whenever her husband doesn't take her out to dinner she always wears this shirt the next day.

warm-up

1. I felt sad, sorry and unable to do anything for her.

2. After looking at these photos, I think this comment means that even though she was diagnosed with cancer, it did not define them. They were still happy and able to share and cherish there last moments together.

3.  I don't think I could take photos in a situation like this.  I would become emotional and it would be hard to look through the photos. I like to keep my photos happy and not full of happiness. Even if i had to take these photos i would try to capture the happy times and there special moments together.

4. I don't think I would have anything to say. Of course I would say something about his loss, but I don't think I could find the words. I might thank him for allowing everyone to see his amazing photos and share there last moments together.

abandoned theme parks

I would like to visit the Takakanonuma Greenland in Japan because it is colorful and there are many tall rides which would look cool in a picture. If the ark was still running it would be really cool to catch a contagion of all the cart going down on the tall rollercoasters. There is a lot of trees surrounding the park and they would look cool in the background of a picture. The foggy area also adda a cool touch to the photo.

2.

3.  under water hotels, glaciers, geysers in New Zealand, lagoons in Bora Bora, Lock bridge

4.

5. I would really like to shoot in an area with glaciers because they are so beautiful and they have such pretty colors. They are all different. I think it would be really cool to get an overhead shot of the glaciers because it is a different perspective on that site.

6. I think it would be kinda hard to get to a place with glaciers because the travel expenses would not be cheap and the places that have them are far away. like Antarctica and Alaska. I would probably have to ask an expert on the certain area i go if the glaciers are safe to be around because if they are breaking or melting or sliding it could be very dangerous. If i wanted to do an over head view i would have to get a helicopter which is not cheap.

africa

1. I was very impressed by Nick Brandt's photographs because he was able to get so close to the wild animals. I was surprised by the time he would wait to get the perfect shot of the animals. 18 days is amazing in my opinion. That shows that he is an amazing photographer who will waiter any amount of time to get perfect photo of these beautiful animals.

2.

3. This photo is showing the love between the two lions. I like this photo because it is beautiful and amazing how he got so close to these dangerous animals. I think they are a family. It is really cool to see these animals in their natural habitat.

4. This picture is simplicity because there is no distracting colors or objects in the background, its just a solid color background.

5. Brandt uses a Pentax 67 camera with a fixed lens. This is important because when using a fixed lens, there is no zoom. Brandt believes that being close to the animals makes a difference in the photo.

6.  He takes these photos to simply just show their state of being and that they exist. He is trying to show people that animals are important too.

7.  He hopes that from taking these photos, he can show people just how amazing these animals are. He wants to capture these animals before they die.

8. "You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close."

great black & white photographers part 3

Ansel Adams

When i first saw Ansel Adams pictures i thought these are really cool. I like how he used shadows to make some parts look darker than others. The angles he takes pictures from make it seem like there are so many dimensions.

E. J Bellocq

When i first saw this picture i thought this is cool. She is just having fun with her dog. It is very simple and clean.

Harry Callahan

When i first saw this photo i thought this is really cool how it is set back then and it shows a little restaurant and it is clean and simple.

2.

I see many dimensions and angles though tho photo. I like how i can see the shadows in the mountains in the back but, my favorite is the reflection of the clouds off the lake.

I smell the freshness of the water and all the little fish swimming underneath. I also smell the fog roaming through the mountains as well.

I hear the little fish jumping in an out of the cold water. I also hear the hikers on the log journey up the mountains.

I taste the free water running through the land. I also taste the breeze coming from the sky. I can taste the gross fish swimming underneath.

I feel the cool water running through my fingers. I can feel the hikers hard work and sweat as they climb higher and higher. I can fell the freeness of the land and the clouds

I see the many dimensions coming from the many levels in this picture. I also see the the shadows coming throw the clouds and the shadow covering the land. I also see the beautiful snake shape of the river.

I smell the the blossoming of the flowers and trees. I also smell freshness of the water and the coldness of the the snow covering the mountains. I can smell the fish swimming through the river.

I hear the fresh water running through the land. I hear the trees blowing in the wind. I hear the snow melting on the the mountain top. I hear the flowers opening.

I taste the cold water running down the land. I taste the freezing snow from the mountain. I can taste the fresh breeze rolling in.

I feel the the wind through the trees. I feel the coldness of the water and the opening of the flowers. I can feel the snow rolling of the mountains.

3. Something I would like to create to show the world my great photographer is i would like to make blog or a powerpoint just about them. You can also put an audio in to the power  pony or blog to show a interview. I would also like to create a poster because you can put pictures of them and their work.

mural project Q&A!

1. One theme that we could do around Bowie is shoot motion and active things such as electives and clubs. One good example is pep rallies and dance and cheer.

2. I think we should use both because some people might not have a phone or they might not have the storage but they can use regular cameras if they don't have those things.

3. I would want to put the mural somewhere in the school where everyone can see it. For example the courtyard or by the library.
